with a Special Presentation from Guide Dogs of the Desert
We will be having our annual Blue and Gold Banquet this month. This is a birthday celebration held each February to honor the founding of the Cub Scout Program. Blue and Gold is representative of qualities we would like to teach the boys. Blue stands for truth, spirituality, and loyalty while gold stands for good cheer and happiness.
We will be eating Navajo Tacos which consists of fry bread topped with chili, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, sour cream...
We are asking that each family bring one item listed below to help out with the dinner that night. We will have the list available at our next den meeting (2/18/14) or post a comment with your name and what you are willing to bring.
1 bag of shredded cheese (3 families can sign up)
6 diced tomatoes (2 families can sign up)
2 jars of salsa (2 families can sign up)
2 diced onions & 1 can of chopped olives
2 heads of shredded lettuce
3 small cans of diced green chili
Guacamole or diced avocados
1 gallon ice cream (3 families can sign up)
chocolate syrup
caramel syrup
sprinkles
Miscellaneous ice cream toppings
***Guide Dogs of the Desert has asked that if you have any old towels or blankets you could donate to their organization it would be greatly appreciated. We will have a box set up for donations that evening.
